We’re talking about movies, comparing and contrasting our differences of opinions, but always with the idea that disagreement with each others’ opinions doesn’t warrant anger. We want to show people that just because you like one thing and they like the other, you can still talk, you can still be friends, you can still be a fan, and there is much to learn from the people who are different from us, who have different views, who like different parts of these things.

Welcome to Psyber-Conversations! Today, Josh and Vern begin talking about the most controversial movie in the Star Wars saga, The Last Jedi. This discussion was one of our most difficult, bringing up topics such as Rian Johnson's approach to both fans and the movies, the bombing run on the Star Destroyer Fulminatrix, and the introduction of Rose Tico and Vice Admiral Holdo. While this conversation did cause us to raise our voices several times, the heart of this show, one of being able to disagree respectfully without being attacked, remains intact. Both us felt like we learned something about the movie and both of us brought up thoughtful points which we hadn't considered previously.
